linkParameters allows Inventor users to easily create dependencies between parameters in various parts and sub-assemblies in the context of the top-level assembly within which they reside.

Parameters can be visually selected from a source component and linked to a specific parameter in a target component creating the dependency. The mechanism employed is based on the iLogic functionality introduced in Inventor 2011. It will automatically generate the iLogic code required to link the values of the parameters, without the need to manually write any iLogic instructions.

Please have a look on this short video that shows how to use linkParameters.

Hi Pradeep, thank you for bringing this to our attention. The iLogic rule that is created from linkParameters is not triggered automatically. But you can trigger it from the iLogic menu. Either call the command "Run Rule" from the iLogic Browser or the command "Regenerate all Rules. Another option is to trigger the rule on an event - e.g. Before Save Document. Therefore call the command "Event Triggers" from the iLogic menu. In the dialog 'Rules Triggered by Events' select the event and the rule that is triggered from this event. Hope that helps Markus

I've used it to modify some piping build out several pipe.ipt with the same Ø and thickness. I'd like to have the possibility to modify several target components with the same source component though. Easy to work with!

I havent had a chance to use it extensively yet, but so far it does what it says! Interface is simple and intuitive.
