The Screenshot Tool for Autodesk® Inventor® provides the following functionalities:
- Screenshots creation of the Inventor active window as .JPG files. The screenshots are saved in a folder named “Screenshots” which is under the project’s workspace folder.
- Multiple screenshots creation during the add-in session and different commands to manage the screenshot list.
- Custom screenshot resolution option.
- Ability to retrieve components name from assemblies to fill the main name of the screenshots files
- White background option.
- Conversion of the JPGs to a single multipage PDF file.
- Automatic Outlook message creation and screenshots attachment.

- Fixed error in save path fixed
Great tool, got it worknig under invntor 2024. just 2 things to do:
- There is a new path for addins on your C drive. Copy the 2 addin files from the old path to the new path.
- Open screenshottol.inventor.addin with notepad, change <SupportedSoftwareVersionLessThan>28..</SupportedSoftwareVersionLessThan> to <SupportedSoftwareVersionLessThan>40..</SupportedSoftwareVersionLessThan>
Where's the old path where's the new one?

Such a great tool! When will this be available for Inventor 2023 again?
Hoping it gets updated to work with new versions of inventor, as its a great tool!
The only other thing that would be good is if it remembered the settings used previoulsy, as I have to change the resolution and set the white background each time.
Will there be an updated version available for Inventor 2023 and oncoming versions?
Any way to make it work with Inventor 2023 already?

Okay so I thought 'this is too good to be true. How different could it be from the snipping tool?'
Well, I was so, so wrong when I realized you can change adjust the image size. I took a screenshot size of 5432 x 3392. The image is 2.5mb and has INCREDIBLE quality.
I wanted to take a high resolution screenshot instead of a render because I'm using the wireframe of the model as a graphic for a website and I wanted to have the background a certain colour. This is absolutely perfect. Thanks so much!
My only recommendation would be to have better instructions on how to install it from start to finish. For anyone that may need help:
1. After installation, go to the 'Tools' menu at the top of the ribbon.
2. Click on 'Add-Ins'. It will be called 'AvantCAD ScreenshotTool' and it will be 'Blocked' on Load Behaviour.
3. Uncheck 'Block' and check 'Load Automatically' or 'Loaded/Unloaded'; up to you.
4. Then it will pop up on the Tools Ribbon menu. You may have to restart Inventor to see it.

This is a great tool, but i cannot run the app in INV 2022. I install the app, but the INV 2022 doesn't load the app. Someone can help me?

Same problem here, the icon simply doesn't show up.

Simply and effective tool for taking screenshot with the resolution that you prefer.
Good for saving images for me, I use Mozilla Thunderbird as my email client so I can't use the email function.. Is there another way of creating a pdf file? or just use the mailto: function in windows?Nice work bye the way ...
I have been using this tool for a while now. In a previous version when you would click on the tool and take a screenshot it would save it in the project folder in which you were working. Since I upgraded to this new version everytime the tool is opened it wants to save the screenshot to my desktop. I either have to go find it and move it or I have to search for the project folder I am in (which we have thousands of) to change the save location. It would be ok if I could even copy and paste the file path from my file explorer window but the screenshot tool's folder location window doesn't allow you to paste in a folder path. I email the developer about this issue and I was told that it would be fixed but so far I haven't seen any new versions come out nor even a work around. If it wasn't for that I would give it 5 stars. Still a very helpful tool.
Thanks for review and bug report. I was busy so far with other projects. But I have fixed it now, there will be more options for save location, hopefully will be ok. I believe the following days the new version will be here.
Just go this app but i already love it!! All the options you need right on the interface. Naming with suffexes, email 3 different ways, white background. Just a great app!
It would be nice if you could change the Standard-Folder for the screenshots.

I love the one-click formatting options and the ability for it to link to Microsoft Office. This streamlines the time it takes to make a picture and send it. Thanks for this!
The screen shot aplication dosnt apear in the ipn module. This would be nice to have
