This plugin enables fast and easy creation of wires, cables, ropes, belts, ribbons and other shapes that can be built on a curve inside of Autodesk® Maya®.

All you have to do is create a NURBS curve, select it and invoke wireMeshFromCurve command available under Maya Create > Wire Tools menu (also works with multiple curves selected).

#### Added - RRect wire profile. - Precision interpolation mode. - Proper behavior on closed curves (when start and end CV shares same 3D coordinates). This was default behavior in previous versions, now can be disabled. - Rotate Subprofiles for patterns. #### Changed - Plugin was rewritten from Python to C++. - Renamed attributes: - rPolygonInnerRadius -> rPolyInnerRadius - patternLayout -> patternDistribution - interpolationRange -> interpolationMode - rotateProfile -> tRotateProfile - scaleProfile -> tScaleProfile - twist -> tTwist - EP to EP interpolation mode now works not only with 1-degree curves but also with Bezier curves with broken tangency, as well as NURBS curves that have multi-knots (sharp turn). - Behavior for sliders in Attribute Editor when exceeding default range. #### Deprecated - Distance interpolation mode. #### Fixed - Connections to inCurveArray attribute on wireMeshCreator node were lost on file save/open operations. - Occasional division by zero in wireMeshCreator node. - Multiple wire sections were created at connection point on a periodic curve when using EP to EP interpolation mode. #### Known Issues: - No automatic UV unwrapping support (should be added in v0.4) - No Linux and macOS support (should be added in v0.4) - Some bugs here and there

    I'm wondering if it's possible to impliment the growth function where it starts from zero and grows alond the curve?

    Hi Sergey, thank you for review. I can confirm that UV support is coming with the next version of this plugin (v0.4). When it will come out? Hard to say, but definitely this year :D

    2. With "bazier tool" the start is wierd, It's twisted and glithy... IDK why

    Hi Radin, thank you for your review. Regarding your second point - this is a Maya bug that I yet need to resolve. For now workaround is to have tangent handles point out from a first anchor point. So when you create bezier curve, LMB click and drag for the first point.

    Nice tool , & I like the extra functions available with the wire once you apply it. a much help if you need good wires/ribbons & other shapes along curve so fast on the fly

    But it has 3 downsides:

    -It doesn't make automatic UVs -whether you make polygon or line/ribbon profile .. it makes life easier if you wanna tune those UVs a bit later than creating them from scratch specially if you are using it to make Hair Cards for example

    -No choice to control the width/scale along the curve length

    -MSI setup -I understand that maybe these auto excutable is much easier but for some people having issue to setup it in certain workstations/limited access then it's not helping

    Hi Hazem, Fist of all thank you for your review, I'm glad that you generally like the plugin. Let me answer your concerns: 1. UV support for know it's not planned in the near future, but if enough people will start requesting it I will implement that faster than I initially wanted. 2. This feature is planned for 0.4 version which should appear shortly after Maya 2020 release. 3. MSI installers on Windows are a thing that Autodesk App Store requires and they actually prepare them themselves and send them to me, so I cannot do anything about it, but I think they are quire handy in opposition to manually moving files and folders to a right place. If something is not working properly on your side you should share your problems with them.
