Create custom-built valve catalogs. The scripts are small Python based programs for creating valves in Autodesk® AutoCAD® Plant 3D by entering just a few parameters. You can use all these scripts to create your own valve catalogs based on your standards. Some standard sizes are provided as a sample.
Note: This application uses a custom installer (and not the standard App Store installer).

Version 1.07 - 2022. 07. 15.: - Bulges were accidentally removed from the butterfly valve scripts, now they are back - Some safety calculations are added to the butterfly bulges, to prevent errors on impossible geometry - Ball valve script connection points for flange and threaded-ends options are fixed - Check valve model has an arrow to show the flow direction - Check valves are now flow dependent, so the ISO symbol will have the same direction as the arrow on the model - All scripts now have a prefix: CPV - this was necessary to allow in model editing of the valves - From now on all valves are editable in the Plant3D space via the properties window (CPV prefix was needed for the scripts' names, plus the usual 'Custom/Parametric' to the ComponentDesignation) - All items in the sample catalogs have a proper ISO symbol now, both metric and imperial.

We use the Valve and Cable Tray products developed by Tamas and have found both products to be superb. His answers to any queires have always been prompt and concise. Excellent support. Highly recommend Python Valve by Tamas.
The phyton valve “physical depiction” and scrips are excellent. We work on a lot of brownfield projects where space is limited and have had to download and import vendor step files (one for each size/orientation) then use the AutoCAD blocks convert to plant 3d. Very cumbersome.
Using the Python Valves allows for us to use the same valve for various situations, ie you can set the parameters to use lever, handwheel or gear, flanges or SW.
Tamas needs to be commended for his work. We appreciate his fantastic customer support, he answers emails within hours of sending them with a solution, (it is like he doesn’t sleep). He is willing to implement suggestions.
We have purchased the Python Supports, and Python Lined Pipe as well as the Python Valves these are great products and are highly recommended.
This is a great addtion to the valve program supplied with Plant 3D. As a matter of fact, in most cases better. Very easy to work with and looks great in my deleiverables. Tamas is also very good to deal with, always answers your questions promptly.
As an alternative to bulky supplier models, Python valve provides very adequate volumetric models of valves, better showing the size as standard P3D components.
Also the service is amazing, providing updates to the scripts after asking for extra functionality/options.
Too bad I can't rate six stars.
The phyton data is really very well done, it can be used to create quite detailed representations of the valves. Especially in areas where little space is available, this allows a very good representation of an installation situation.
I find it very advantageous that different actors can be represented in the same phyton. this means that the valves can be copied quickly in the Spec Editor and the actors can be adapted if, like us, the same valve bodies are used with different actors.
Tamas is also very helpful. for example, I asked for a supplement to the representation of the knife gate valves and within a few hours I received feedback from him with the appropriate phyton file to test whether it corresponds to my ideas.
I can recommend this extension to everyone. For me it is a great relief to be able to display many details with little memory.
i am working with Tamas for more than an year, he is providing us various custom scripts for Plant 3d project and they are quite useful
recently we did a large project worth of around $165million and we used the valves, pipe supports and cable trays provided by Tamas he is providing us continuos support, it is easy to deal with Tamas as he understand the requirement and provide the required support

CPC Engineering have been using the various apps by Tamas for a while now. The support he provides for any questions is amazing and this Python Valve app is exactly what we have wanted for some time now, particularly for knifegate valves. We believe it is a superior alternative to using plantpartconvert to build these valves. Another great product and is highly recommended.
When I found this application I decided to try it. First surprise was communication and Tamas approach. It is above standard! Working with this scripts is the same like working with basic Plant 3D scripts - it means very easy.
Somebody can say that this app is only about nice graphics and Plant 3D has their own symbols/graphics that can be use... I can not completely agree. In time when companies focus on BIM solution, in offers is more and more discused LOD, Plant 3D "competes" with Revit, graphics becomes more important than 5 years ago. Also I think that when in 3D model expansion joint looks like expansion joint it is much easier for checking etc.
That was reason why I buy it and I can only recommended.
I personaly looking forward (I hope) to other types of valves like pressure relief valve, angle piston valve etc.
We had a few questions that we posted to Tamas about this product. I wasn't sure how long it would take to receive a reply but Tamas responded almost immediately, given the time difference between Budapest & Australia. Tamas not only answered my questions but also modelled up a sample valve for us, & patiently explained how the flange facing rules work.
The Python addins Tamas has made are worth every cent of the very reasonable price they cost. He needs to be commended & we are very appreciative of his fantastic customer support.
