GeoRefImg is a LISP utility for Autodesk® AutoCAD® 2024 - 2012 (plus Architecture, Mechanical, MEP) which can automatically reposition raster images used in a drawing to the position defined in the images “World files”. World files define geo-position and other parameters of a raster image (TIF, CIT, JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP, ECW, SID...).
Start it by typing the GEOREFIMG command. GeoRefImg prompts to select objects (existing images) and then performs the repositioning and scaling controlled by the World files (TFW, JGW, PGW, GFW, BPW, WLD...).
World files are searched in the folders of the original raster file. Use full paths (REFPATHTYPE=2). The additional command WORLDOUT can create a new world file from an existing positioned image.
works like magic
this is content: very good.
How to position the image automatically when the image is loaded with a world file without typeing in "Georefimg"
Since version 3.2 there is a new command (reactor) AGRI which will enable automatic repositioning right on image attach - see www.cadstudio.cz/georefimg
Intuitive and worked perfectly!
How about for AutoCAD in a mac? Is it possible do the same import process fot TIF images in an AutoCAD running on a MACBOOK pro?
there is a .FAS file for Mac in the GeoRefImg distribution archive on www.cadstudio.cz/freeware
Good, the only problem is that need the World files
How can I insert a georeferenced SID file with this lisp?
A must have application
I am using AutoCAD 2017 student version. I am trying to use georefimg for georeferencing tiff file. AutoCAD is showing >GeoRefImg:File not found. What is the solution for this.
As a Raster Design user I regularly get asked by co-workers to insert imagery for them since their vanilla CAD will not utilize world files. This command will allow others in my office to do this themselves without waiting on one person to help them out. Fantastic app. Thank you!
Funguje bez problémů
Wie von Geisterhand .... Danke
Can import GIS images in standard AutoCAD. New version won't display in the Add-ins menu. Exchange App manager says it loaded, just not icons.
Very useful and easy tool !!!!
Very useful application, works perfectly.
Very useful and easy to use.
Works well. Good application.
This saves so much time - nice one :)
I use this tool since the autocad 2006...!!!! Very usefull..!!!!!
Works with every type of raster map image I have tried.
So far the best tool for handling scanned maps with world files. Fully automatic operation.
