PointCloud to Surface
Popis
PLEASE BE AWARE WE ARE NO LONGER PROVIDING UPDATES FOR THIS APP - IF YOU ARE RUNNING REVIT 2020 OR LATER PLEASE DOWNLOAD THE POINTCLOUD TO SURFACE SUITE WHICH IS OUR CURRENT VERSION AND INCLUDES AN UPDATED VERSION OF THIS PLUGIN + OTHER USEFUL TOOLS
Work directly in Autodesk® Revit® with Pointcloud instances to create topo, floor, and roof elements that accurately match the original pointcloud data. Offers a decimation slider so that you can choose how many points are used to make the new surface element, for either high accuracy or high speed depending on your requirements.
This app has been designed for surveyors, architects, builders, and developers working on as-built projects. It reads laser scan data captured onsite and imported into Revit, automating the tedious process of manual point entry needed to create complex surfaces in a BIM model.
The app allows you to draw a selection box around the points of interest then select whether they should be mapped as either a topo, floor, or roof element. For roofs and floors, you can select the build type and level for the new element.
The section box can be used to filter out points on a broad scale, so by working in 3D view the section box in conjunction with the user drawn selection box allows very specific filtering of points to be added to each new element.
Works with both structured and unstructured pointcloud instances. Supports shared co-ordinate models.
Note: App must be purchased with the same Autodesk account which is used to log in to Revit or the App will not run.
Great app, it does everything that is shown in the video. I don't have to use several softwares anymore to get the same result.
This is a handy app to speed-up surface extraction
Hi,
Can I get a trial for this plug-in? The pictures look good.
Hi Avinash, Sorry we can't offer a 30 day trial on this app, although we do offer 30 day trials on XYZ to Roof and XYZ to Floor which were our pre-cursors for this app, and offer similar functionality. The video included here for PointCloud to Surface shows quite clearly how it works and how much time it can save you - https://youtu.be/faWiTB_n60I Any further questions please contact support, they may consider setting up a short 1-2 day trial depending on your circumstances. Best of Luck
I was thinking the same thing, would like to try it out
Hi John - If you are on Revit 2020 or later please check out The Pointcloud to Surface Suite which supercedes this application: https://apps.autodesk.com/RVT/en/Detail/Index?id=1999407438437529160&appLang=en&os=Win64. If you contact plugin support through that page a short trial can be arranged. We are no longer offering trials on this older version.
