Description
CADtoEarth™ for Autodesk® Revit® is a POC of an application establishing a bi-directional connection between Revit and Cesium®. It allows users to create personal accounts on the CADtoEarth web application and provides individual control over the visibility of uploaded data.
Using the Forge platform, CADtoEarth is integrated with Autodesk A360 cloud service allowing users to better collaborate on projects.
CADtoEarth for Revit provides a wide range of capabilities, including an ability to:
• Import a section of the surface from Cesium into a modeling session with applied satellite imagery;
• Import a pre-drawn sketch from Cesium into a modeling session;
• Get information about building layer from Cesium;
• Place the selected 3D structure on the imported surface within the modeling session and then upload it back to Cesium;
• Upload the 3D structure directly from a modeling session onto Cesium;
• Convert 3D structure to 3D PDF format;
• Log in using Autodesk, Facebook or LinkedIn credentials

Hi there Ada Toni, if you´re still experiencing this problem try to locate your "Family Templates" folder (C: program data/Autodesk/RVTxxxx/family templates) and replace your "generic model.rtf" template file. You can just duplicate the "metric generic model.rtf" and then rename it so it matches CADtoEarth searching criteria. This solved the issue for me right away. Hope it helps.
its a great add but isnt compatible with my revit version.

no longer supports google earth or google maps.
Hi Stuart, thank you for your interest in CADtoEarth.Revit add-in. Unfortunately, the support of Google Earth was stopped by Google Corp. from beginning of 2017. CADtoEarth add-in provides Cesium functionality which is similar to Google Earth, and supports topography starting from CADtoEarth.Revit 4.0.35 version. Regarding Google Maps, due to changed policy of usage Google Maps, we had to stop support Google Maps in the add-in. Please do not hesitate to contact us on support@amcbridge.com to share your ideas how to enhance CADtoEarth.Revit.
I am using the Revit 2018...When I 'Export Model' the process is very slow..
Also the toposurface is staight without any elevation.
Thank you!
Hi Mairh, thank you for your interest in CADtoEarth.Revit. Your feedback is valuable for us. To import toposurface properly, please select “STK World Terrain meshes” radiobutton on the “Options” tab in CADtoEarth pane. The issue with slow exporting might be caused by slow internet connection or large model size. If above doesn’t help, then please contact support@amcbridge.com and provide scenario for reproducing this issue with screenshots, test model, CADtoEarth.Revit add-in version, OS version and type (32-bit/64-bit).
Hello, Sir/madam. I am a Chinese user. I'm excited to see this plug-in. When I search for an address in the ceslum module, I can't see a clear map in the case, and only see a piece of black (located in nanjing, China). I can't see any buildings on the surface. Why? Thank you for your answer. (based on revit2016)

Google earth no longer supported, google maps no 3d, cesium can't even locate a major city like Atlanta, Georgia. If none of these options even work what is the point of this plug in? It should be pulled from the autodesk app site. Ridiculously useless and frustrating.
Hi Aaron, thank you for your interest in CADtoEarth.Revit add-in. Your feedback is valuable for us. Currently there is 20 buildings per import limit, please try to zoom closer to get surface. In future releases of CADtoEarth we are planning to increase or remove that limit.

debe haber sido buena para lo que ofrece, una idea de la superficie donde se sitúa un diseño, pero la decepción es que no esta funcionando desde este año ya que google le quito los permisos a la aplicación.
