Switch categories on and off and set their transparency. Forget the Visibility/Graphics window.
Switching category visibility is one of the most frequently used functionalities in everyday Autodesk® Revit® work.
If you need to isolate the elements, that you are working on, or if you want to make the walls transparent to see the elements behind them in their context, you have to activate the V/G window, scroll through the categories, click the checkboxes, open a separate window for the transparency and do all this again, to restore your previous visibility settings.
And if you need it again, you start all over again.
This plugin provides a tool to switch on and off categories by just clicking on them in the list. Or just type the name of the category to be visible. Drag a slider to set it's transparency.
Note: This app uses a custom installer (and not the standard App Store installer).
Thanks for the effort, I was looking for a tool like this to stop using VV, especially in point cloud projects.

I would suggest exploring the possibility to isloate the Revit link and their geometry.
Ability to save or to add to a View Template.
Also is it possible to supress the warning about CAD links.

Hi Tim, thanks for your proposal. Extending fuctionality to Revit links is in the pipeline (there is still some space left underneath the CAD links checkbox ;) ). Saving to View Templates seems interesting indeed. We will think about it. Possibility to suppress CAD links warning: we thought about it, but we didn´t expect to happen very often. I love the visibility settings applies to the multi-view ports in Revit.

I suggest additionally adding the ability to customise the colour of elements and the ability to create the same kind of customisation for linked files.
