Create 3D models of underground pipes, conduits, vaults and maintenance holes for utility relocation mitigation with the ability to designate confidence levels to Federal S.U.E. standards.
No 3D modelling experience required. Enter dimensions and elevations into the Windows forms and generate 3D models with the click of a button.
Step by step quick guides included.
BIM Underground is designed to enable engineers and technicians who are not experts in 3D modelling to produce proposed and existing 3d models of underground utilities and check for conflicts.
All of the models can be created without having to change to a 3D view as the user is guided through the process of creating a 3D model with user friendly forms that input a structure’s dimensions and automatically produce a 3D model.
Structures that can be created with BIM Underground.
- Pipes
- Conduits and conduit splays (when a conduit needs to “flatten” to avoid an object).
- Vaults, with maintenance access and knock outs for conduit runs.
- Maintenance holes. There are 8 maintenance hole and catch basin types to choose from, each with the ability to adjust dimensions to fit a multitude of requirements.
- Interference checking locates conflicts.
- Save and share structures you create.
Maintenance holes and vaults can be saved and shared with other users with the “import/export” functions in the lists of saved structures with the right-click context menu.
Vault “butterfly” details can be automatically generated for production or dimension checking.
