Rope Grab Wheels can be used for pendulum clocks, rope-driven machines, climbing robots, or cable cars.
The wheel is fully drawn by the given settings. If you change settings, the new wheel is immediately previewed.
The add-in cuts the wheel into two parts that optionally can be fixed together by a gear, ideal for 3D printing, or two parts that are simple enough for CNC machines.
I used a drilled fishing rope, 1 mm thick and the wheel was just out of the 3D printer out of PET. This rope would have slipped through a normal wedge wheel out of this material, but this curved wheel grabbed it. This is realy innovativ. I have never seen this before. Wheels like this would be hard to draw without the add in.
